Common Migration Questions
How long does migration typically take?
Most migrations take 30-90 minutes for the data transfer. We recommend allowing 2-3 hours total to include verification and testing. We can help with the process if you prefer a hands-off approach — just reach out.
Will I lose any giving history?
In most cases, no. We help you import your giving history so you keep accurate year-end statements. How much comes over depends on what your current provider lets you export—our team reviews the data with you during migration.
What about recurring donations?
For security, payment information can't transfer between platforms. GraceBase sends friendly invitations to your recurring donors with a simple link to set up their new recurring gift.
Can I run both systems during transition?
Yes! We recommend a 2-4 week overlap period. Accept donations in both systems while your congregation transitions, then consolidate the data before fully switching.
