Before you begin

Make sure you have admin access to your Pushpay account. If you need help with exports, contact Pushpay support or reach out to us for assistance.

  1. Log into your Pushpay admin portal at pushpay.com/admin
  2. Navigate to "Community" → "People"
  3. Click the gear icon and select "Export"
  4. Choose the fields you want to export (select all recommended)
  5. Select "CSV" format
  6. Click "Export" and download the file

  1. Navigate to "Giving" → "Transactions"
  2. Set the date filter to cover your entire giving history
  3. Click "Export"
  4. Select all transaction details to include
  5. Download the CSV file

  1. Go to "Giving" → "Funds"
  2. Take note of your fund names and any fund codes
  3. Export fund list if available, or document manually

You'll recreate these funds in GraceBase before importing donations.

  1. Log into your GraceBase dashboard
  2. Go to "Settings" → "Giving" → "Funds"
  3. Create matching funds for each Pushpay fund
  4. Note the exact fund names for mapping during import

  1. Go to "Members" page in GraceBase
  2. Click the "Import" button
  3. Upload your Pushpay People CSV file
  4. Review and adjust the automatic column mapping
  5. Click "Import Members"
  6. Verify the imported count matches your Pushpay records

  1. Go to "Donations" in GraceBase
  2. Click "Import Donations"
  3. Upload your Pushpay transactions CSV
  4. Map columns: donor email, amount, date, fund
  5. GraceBase will match donations to members by email
  6. Click "Import"

  1. In GraceBase, go to "Donations" → "Recurring"
  2. Click "Send Migration Invites"
  3. GraceBase will email donors with recurring gifts in Pushpay
  4. Donors receive a simple link to set up their new recurring gift

We recommend giving donors 30 days to transition before canceling Pushpay recurring gifts.

  3. Test the giving page works correctly
  4. Generate a test giving statement
  5. Announce the transition to your congregation
